• Journal Entries: Any text, thoughts, or reflections you type.

• Wellness Ratings: Your self-reported mood, sleep, and habit tracking data.

• Personal Goals: Your weekly resolutions and progress.

We do not have access to this data. It is not uploaded to our servers. If you delete the App or lose your device, this data cannot be recovered by us.

2. Information We Collect (Global Standards)

To provide and improve the Service, we may collect limited categories of information:

• Account Information: If you create an account, we may collect your email address and name to manage your subscription.

• Transaction Data: When you purchase "Coins" via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, we receive confirmation of the purchase but do not see or store your credit card details.

• Technical Data: We may collect anonymized data such as your device type, operating system, and App usage statistics (e.g., buttons clicked) to fix bugs and improve performance.

4. Data Storage and International Transfers

• Local Storage: As noted, your personal content stays on your device.

• Cloud Storage: Any account-level data (like your email) may be stored on secure servers. We ensure that any international transfers (e.g., to the USA) are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal safeguards.

4.1. Data Storage and International Transfers

When you choose to submit a story or 'Tip Card' for publication, the following data is collected and stored on our secure servers (non-local):

• The Submission Content: The text and metadata of your story.

• Your Contact Information: Your verified email address, required to manage the submission and contact you regarding rewards.

• Performance Metrics: We track the number of times your specific Tip Card is purchased or unlocked to calculate reward eligibility.

4.2. Legal Basis for Processing

We process this data under the following legal grounds:

• Contractual Necessity: We need this data to fulfil our agreement with you regarding the review, publication, and rewarding of your content.

• Legitimate Interests: To protect the platform and other users by ensuring content is original and non-infringing.

4.3. Data Retention

• Unpublished Stories: If your story is not selected for publication, it will be deleted from our servers within 90 days.

• Published Stories: These are retained for the duration of the license granted in our User Agreement.

• Reward Data: Information related to successful milestones and reward fulfilment is kept for 7 years to comply with UK financial and tax reporting regulations.

4.4. Content Liability & Publicity

While your wellness journal remains private and local to your device, any content you voluntarily submit for publication is considered public-facing once approved.

• Anonymity: You may choose a 'Pen Name' for your published Tip Card; however, your real identity and email address must be stored in our private records for legal liability and reward purposes.

• Third-Party Requests: In accordance with the Defamation Act 2013, we may be required to disclose your contact information if a legal claim is made against the content you have authored.

5. Your Rights (Your Choice)

Depending on your location (e.g., UK, EU, Australia, Canada, or California), you have rights regarding your data:

• Access & Portability: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.

• Erasure: You can request that we delete your account-level data.

• Correction: You can update your account information at any time.

• Local Data Control: You can delete your journal and wellness data at any time by clearing the App cache or deleting the App.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain EU jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies to maintain functional features of our services.

8. Security

While we implement industry-standard security for our servers, the security of your local journal data relies on your device security. We recommend using biometrics (FaceID/TouchID) or a strong passcode on your mobile device.
